EA has just announced that they have fixed the roster problem in NCAA Football 10. Here is the information from a developer Russel Kininiry:
Hey guys, updated rosters can be found in the following locations:
PS3 - EA_CS
Xbox 360 - EASCNCAA10
Both are live now, we should have some information on the patch tomorrow. The patch is really only awaiting final approvals and hopefully will be out soon.
EA has just released two new videos. The first one is of the EA dev team playing their Superbowl. They played a whole season and it came down to two teams. It was the Cowboys vs Titans, so check it out to see who won.
They also added a new video about the things you see on Sunday being in Madden. This video is neat, it shows off all the new things that makes the experience closer to the NFL game.
We are only two days until NCAA Football 10 releases on Tuesday. EA Sports has just released the Top 25 list along with pictures for every team. Here is the list of the top 5 teams, check the EA website for the whole list by clicking here:
Here is a video EA put together of our training day at Twist Conditioning for the NHL Community Day. A little NHL 10 gameplay thoughts from the attendees thrown in also. You’ll catch me in there a few times.
A copy of NCAA 10 arrived this morning. As soon as I can I will start playing and answering questions. I’m very excited to see what has changed since playing at the NCAA Community Day months ago. While there won’t be any full writeups or vidoes until next week I will be able to field your questions as they come in.
I will be checking the comments and replying when I can. Intense Debate is easy to sign up for and will give me the ability to reply to your questions easier.
Update: I just confirmed that videos and also screen shots will be ok to post to EASW so if you have that type of request I will fulfill as many as I can.
Also check out the following thread on the forums here and on the EA Forums here as some others have the game.
The AFC North trailer has just released and it can be seen above. The game is definitely looking great, and they have some cool animations in that trailer. Later in the day they should be adding around 30 screenshots of the AFC North, so keep checking the screens gallery because I will have them in there as soon as possible.
Also check out the achievements by clicking here. There are 24 achievements for 1,000 possible points. Most of them have to do with new features in Madden 10 and specific players.
A new blog post is up on the inside EA blog and it is about gameplay refinements in NHL 10. Make sure you hit “read more” to see three new videos.
Sean here to talk about some of the many gameplay refinements in NHL10. Before I get into it, I know you’re all dying to see some under produced, raw gameplay footage and I can tell you that we’ve got some clips to post. Litty has been capturing clips from the games that he’s been playing and we’re extremely excited to share them with you. I also want to thank everyone that has been following NHL10 on Twitter. We love hearing all the feedback and suggestions so keep it coming!
We will have a high quality video of and online game of The Bigs 2 up later tonight. In the meantime I wanted to give a few impressions after playing the game the past two evenings. I have played quite a few games but all of them have been online so I will let Kev come in and comment later with his thoughts on the single player so far.
Tuesday night was of course launch day and the servers weren’t quite ready for prime time. There was some lag, a disconnect and then the servers going down for an unknown time about midnight CST. Wednesday night however seemed flawless. No noticeable lag at all except in one of the mini catch games where you have to hit four buttons with some timing. Neither Kev nor I were doing well with it even though it looked as if we did it correctly. It’s quite possible that the server downtime on Tuesday evening was 2k patching the servers. It’s great that they got it ironed out quickly.
Gameplay is fun and strategic when you have two equally matched players. One thing to note is that with the difficulty setting at medium the catching mini games are much to easy. I’m not sure though if turning it up to hard is going to affect the pitching/batter difficulty. As of right now it’s plenty hard to hit if the pitcher has a good fastball-changeup combo. My hope is that moving it up to hard will just affect the mini games and the AI and not the speed of the pitching. We played about five or six games last night and while I kept telling myself to stop and go to bed I ended up playing about 3 “just one more games”. One of the nice things as you will see in the video is a default 5 inning game takes under 15 minutes so it’s not a game where you need to commit an hour to in order to get in a couple games.
Edit: Vids are up. Also wanted to mention that I am really disappointed that it’s right at halfway through the MLB season and 2k doesn’t have anywhere close to an updated roster out for The Bigs 2
